The Flatshare - Book Review

The Flatshare - Book Review - Incredible Opinions

The Flatshare  ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Author - Beth O' Leary
Publisher - Macmillan Publishers

A charming, beautiful and interesting romantic/comedy story.

I've read a lot of romantic books this year and "The Flatshare" is, unarguably, the best amongst them. It has been very engaging since the beginning and I wanted this book to never finish.

Tiffy, the protagonist, badly needs a place to live as she broke up with her current boyfriend. Leon, another protagonist, needs some cash to endure lawyer bills for his brother. He puts an ad for his flat to be available for sharing including his bed. He works nights and is out on the weekends. This works out perfectly for Tiffy who moves in the flat. They never see each other and their only communication is via post-it notes in the flat they leave for each other....yet they fall in love.

Beth O' Leary wrote a very quirky and engaging story by using both Leon and Tiffy as first person alternatively to express what each one of them. Her writing style is easy to read and all the other characters besides the protagonists are drafted smartly. Short chapters are also a big plus. I am a big fan of British authors since we share the same vocabulary but this book made me laugh with British humour as well. It is a perfect rom-com I'd remember for a long time.

If you like romantic comedies, this books is a perfect choice and I bet you won't regret reading it.
